Nose: Medium but a little bit sticky - with chocolate. caramel. fruity ester (esp. plum. blueberry). low hop flavor (wood and floral). heavily warmy alchohol aroma.
Taste: Strong and medium, sticky mousefeel -strong coffee and chocolate character. High alcohol feel. low molasses and caramel. Low to none cookies.
Comments: Brewers use too much deeply roasted malt (maybe chocolate malt) to enhance the flavor. it's bitterness really balance the sweet from caramel-like malty character (which usually show in this style.) Low IBU (26) . But deeply roasted malt took the place of where caramel malts should be, make this beer not so typical. The aroma from English style yeast are too low.

这是去年考BJCP线上前几天,没事写写的酒评,满满都是葡萄酒品饮方式的影子,不像是个啤酒品饮笔记,但其实有些部分是现在需要回忆与学习的,写得还不差

喝了很多高度酒后,发现艾尔史密斯大麦酒也就一般般。酒精度不是最过瘾,甜度也不是最高,当然,压酒精也是压得成功了,但太传统了感觉没啥亮点。但,应该是没有这种酒的传承作用,就没有后来这些新潮的酒吧。
当然,第一次喝这个酒,还是觉得烈。16年的酒摆到现在,柔和了许多,但还是记得第一次喝时候的感受,太烈,酒精气息明显。

外观:深棕红色酒体,深褐色酒头,泡沫不持久,挂杯一般。
气味:饱满的烘烤麦芽香气,混合着柔和的焦糖和可可香气,后段酒精味浮现。
口味:入口绵软顺滑,酒体中等,烘烤麦芽的口味、麦芽汁的香甜感主导,继之以深色浆果的微酸微甜,酒花苦后段有所表现且持久,酒精感全程体现但恰到好处地提供了温热而不刺激。收口烘烤谷物余味。
总之,谷物口味明显,典型的苏格兰艾尔风格,比一般的SA甜度不算很高,苦度平衡好,后段口味消散的有点快。

闻起来巧克力咖啡和深色水果的果香,入口感觉很奇特,有些轻微的甘草和薄荷的香气与清爽,随后是咖啡的微微苦和深色水果的甜蜜,麦香与焦糖那种甜蜜在后段涌现。但酒精感比较重,总体很独特,虽然快结束时喝到的,仍然记忆深刻

心仪已久的大瓶子!漂亮的封纸
开瓶入杯,颜色深红,不黏稠。差点误以为大麦,闻着有点甜!
入口:甜!类似太妃糖。舌头两遍微微泛酸!舌根处有点酸涩。
后段:一点点酸涩的苦!一点点草药的味道!酒精压的很好!烈艾做的确实平衡!易饮。
