It reads American Barleywine on the label, while UT put it in the English Barleywine category. What shall ensue from American malts/hops and English Ale strain? Frustrating, until the bottle was untapped - an American Barleywine, of course. The hops are dominating, although the barleywine feels more English on nose. It is the balance between hops and bourbon influence that makes this one stick out from many overbitter/overhoppy American Barleywine.

这个大麦其实看介绍感觉有点莫名其妙,个人觉得没有必要那么详细介绍用哪里的大麦哪里的酵母啥的,个人不是特别喜欢大麦,这个酒也不是那么令人惊艳,起码对于一个这个价位和这个品牌顶级的噱头来说,只能说是中规中矩了

基酒为使用美国麦芽和酒花,用英式菌株发酵的英式大麦酒,在波兰顿(Blanton’s)和飞鹰稀有(Eagle rare,水牛足迹酒厂的高酒龄子品牌)的波本桶陈酿2年,然后进行混合,第四批次。
一直以为所谓过桶就是把酒放进橡木桶就好,能选择的不过是通的种类和放置的环境和时长之类的。
副计划将桶陈细化为age,rest和finish三个阶段。这款酒确实表现出很精致的桶陈风味。
